23 days, 5 hours, 42 minutes ... to City Nature Challenge 2023
Calling all nature lovers! The Anacostia Watershed is bursting with bees, bird, blossoms and all kinds of wildlife. This is a great opportunity to share the bounty of the watershed through an annual BioBlitz.
The annual City Nature Challenge is taking place this year between Friday, April 28th through Monday, May 1st. Started in 2016 as a competition between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their own cities. Cities around the world collaborate to share observations of nature (photographs or audio recordings) through the iNaturalist application.
