Just getting the hang of the features here!

Thanks for visiting!
I am uploading photos of the birds I find here in Forbes NSW. My photos are captured in various places in and around Forbes, The Gum Swamp which has a bird hide, with three more scheduled to be built in 2020, though may be delayed due to covid19, The travelling stock reserve off Calarie road enter opposite School Road and explore the many tracks, and various places around Lake Forbes as well as various places along Lachlan River.
I also post photos to the Birds in Backyards Facebook Group and seek help with identifying birds at Australian Bird Identification Facebook Group.
Since moving to Forbes in 2019 I have encountered many birds for the first time in the wild and it is a splendid feeling to see bird such as the Cockatiel flying free when I have only seen them in cages. My recent sighting of a Black Swan on Gum Swamp was exciting too. However there is little to compare with grand majesty of the White-Bellied Sea Eagle or to catch the coquetish expression of the Australian Kestrel at rest.
I am enjoying my birding adventures and hope to make this journal more useful soon.
Regards
Cheryl
