The name Amanita punctata (Cleland & Cheel) D.A. Reid is preoccupied by A. punctata Lam., hence the introduction of the replacement name A. cheelii for A. punctata (Cleland & Cheel) D.A. Reid. The two names were already in iNaturalist taxonomy, but not connected.
