Merav (@merav) found 5 live newts along Alma Bridge Rd. the morning of 2/26/2019. She helped them across the road so that they wouldn't become roadkill like so many others.

Found three live newts this morning - two along Alma Bridge Rd. and one at Sierra Azul. I was hoping to see more of them since it rained yesterday.

Found three live newts on Manzanita Trail at St. Joseph's Hill Open Space Preserve during my 3 hr. hike.
