2,000 and raining!

Good afternoon, for those of you this side of the world! And as some of you have surely noticed, observation #2,000 came in a while ago. Check it out here:

BTW this photo "Needs ID", perhaps you can help!

How's the weather like where you are? Here, in Guatemala, I'm home taking a break. We've had power outages and nonstop rain... From my window I see thick fog forming over the mountain, and I can only hear the Brown-backed Solitaires singing and the Bushy-crested Jays calling. Leave us a comment and let us know how your Bioblitz weather is treating you.

Take care and keep your observations coming!

As you know, it's sizzling hot in Southern California. Woodland Hills, just 10 or so miles away, broke an all time record. NWS said, "The 121° high temperature at Woodland Hills official site (Pierce College) was also the highest official temperature ever recorded in L.A. County as well as Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties." We'd LOVE some of your non-stop rain!!

What a dangerous situation, I wish it were possible to send some of our rain your way... Be careful out there!
