I'm a retired mycologist, plant pathologist and plant health science adviser. I worked for over 20 years as a Plant Health scientist, initially as a mycology diagnostician and doing research on fungi of statutory significance. Subsequently, I managed public Plant Health and Tree Biosecurity research programmes and the European Plant Health Research Coordination (EUPHRESCO) ERA-Net. I have a wider interest in the natural world, especially: fungi; tree pests and diseases; butterflies and moths; and developing an interest in amphibians and aquatic plants.
