I'm an English major, or was. My brother is the scientist in the family, a biochemist and nutritionist who specialized in potato tubers and tobacco (nightshades) for some 40 years. Maybe this will up my science status, if only by a small increment. I live on 7 acres in a high desert pine forest and we have a lot of wildflowers here. I've always wondered what their names are and in just an hour or two I have learned half a dozen.
