The Smith Lab of Avian Ecology focuses on research that looks at how land use changes and urban areas effect wildlife. While several projects are concerned with avian ecology and impacts on populations, the lab also studies a range of taxon beyond birds. Historical or current presence of different species including plant, reptile, and mammal are among the on-going projects in the lab.
