I'm an undergraduate researcher studying marine biology at CSU Long Beach. Most of my professional work is related to the behavioral ecology of juvenile white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias) in the Southern California nursery region and as well as their spatial interactions with human water-users. However, some of my most keen interests are with anthozoan cnidarians (mainly Indo-Pacific scleractinia and anemones from the NE Pacific), marine fishes, and reef-related ecological phenomena in general.

I'm quite active here, so feel free to message or tag me in observations that you would like me to review, for questions regarding my identifications, or for insight about a particular species.

Below are some guides I've created over the years that are available for public use
Reef Fish of the Hawaiian Islands (
Echinoderms of the North Eastern Pacific: Alaska to Baja (
Actiniaria of the North Eastern Pacific (coming soon)
