Adaptations of Insects In Their Habitat

Out of all of the observed insects, perhaps the insect with the most notable adaptation is the Rove Beetle (Oxyporus rufipennis). Many of the insects in the Rove beetle family have well-developed wings and can fly, but this particular type had a very small wings to body ratio and could barely fly. They have adapted to crawling rather than flying as it consumes less energy.

All the insects have an adaptation in common, and it is their distinct colour. All of them have a colour that favors them. The bright colours on some of the insects make it more intimidating and it helps with their camouflage.
