A solo visit after work to see if I could find any Sleepy Duskywings, which would be a lifer. Ron Smith found 18 here two days ago, so I was confident. I stopped looking for Sleepy Duskywings after I found my 15th individual, photographing 8 of them, including one ovipositing on a Myrtle Oak!
For fears that collectors might be using iNat to locate butterflies to capture, I am keeping the location vague, as did Ron for his records.
The weather at the start was sunny and 81 degrees ("feels like" 83) with a light breeze. After walking north and south (or east and west ...) along Scrub Island Road twice, I left at 1631 and headed home.
Several plant and wasp IDs are by iNat's "machine learning."
Found this in Church Point.
