Took a short trip to South Jersey with a friend today (unrelated to "snake business"), and convinced her to take a little detour on the way home past a spot where I had found a few Timbers 20-some years ago. Found this beauty within 5 minutes of getting out of the car! I was jacked up beyond description to find this one so easily and that the population was still extant after 2 decades, and my friend - she was (inexplicably) less than thrilled, haha!
A population, probably small, of western gray squirrels lives in Canyon RV Park. More squirrels may live in the bed of the adjoining Santa Ana River.
Anyone have ANY idea what this is?
