One of the greatest moments of my life! Recently weaned seal pup observed swimming in lagoon. Location is on Oahu but coordinates are false.
Nocturnal slug, Oahu, sidewalk near cultivated plants
Male, hatched 3/2 from larva collected 2/29 from Cemetery on Red Road S of Keiki Ponds (at back in vase).
Collected larvae on 2/24, hatched on 3/3. It was floating on the water, appeared dead. Legs fell off when I put it in alcohol. This is the same sample of larvae that included an Aedes that I could not ID (obs 2716389). Two more culex hatched 3/5.
Visiting the feeders at NCNC

These bluebirds have been checking out this box for awhile now. Hope they return in Spring and have a couple of little ones. That will be fun to watch!
