Visual Description:
The common cranes were seen across a pond and appeared to have a long neck with a white belly. They were seen with two long skinny legs and a small head. The shape of the cranes was tall and quite skinny. The size of the grus grus was about what appeared to be a foot and a half tall. Key defining characteristics include the brown unique color and the white undertone belly. No reproductive features were noticed. Their movement patterns were very slow and calm and further defining characteristics that aided in identification was that they had a unique feather shape.

Habitat: The chordates were seen across a pond in a suburban area eating food near the pond. They are also often seen flying near trees and nesting near the forrest areas along the roads. It can be noticed that they are often near a body of water.
