anyone know what this little spring ephemeral is? I'm guessing it is something common that I just don't recognize because it was stunted by the cold and because I've forgotten a lot of plants since last spring.

probably not much chance of an ID from photo but this was a neat tiny plant in the cracks of rocks in exposed areas.

odd ericaceae plant that still has leaves, though they are folded back on the stem. Maybe a vaccinium? I'm not sure if this usually has leaves in January or if it is due to the weird weather this year.
I thought this was butternut but i am now thinking it may be basswood. Can anyone tell from the twig picture?
not sure of ID since it is so toasty and dead.. anyone know for sure?
