Subject is the aquatic grass species at image right at the mouth of the Monkey River, growing about three metres high in saline marine waters.
The Grand Mayan by Vidanta (Riviera Maya). Seen in the stream behind the pools- he sat there and let me approach a little. I didn’t want to scare him off, so I didn’t push it beyond what it took to get a decent photo.
Killed them all that I could reach, no visible eggs. Only tree that seemed to have them in large numbers.
