We (a small group of HKU scientists and volunteers) are studying the seasonal movements and migration of danaid butterflies in Asia. We are tagging danaids in Hong Kong with small URL-bearing stickers and asking the public to report their sightings.

Using this method, we are able to collect data on the timing and distance of butterfly movement, butterfly longevity and overwintering behaviors, and population dynamics at sites across Hong Kong.
