Not sure what this is. Growing in estuarine environment in area largely with native vegetation.
Tallish rush ~1m height in estuarine environment.

On drier ground in the Lake Peel cirque
Growing on rocks by small unnamed tributary of the Aorere River, just upstream of Quartz Range Road.
Visiting from the Auckland region it’s remarkable to see a habitat like this that’s not smothered in weeds.
A bit stumped by the dracophyllum in this area. Is this just D.filifolium or could it be D.longifolium var septentrionale? There was distinct young foliage around (see observation https://inaturalist.nz/observations/138083836)
In the Pisa Conservation area (up from the Crown Range Summit Carpark) after going over the stile to go up the slope.
