Foraging along the shoreline
Seen along the shoreline of the Ucluelet Strait at a range of forty metres.
Mother and young in tree on side of road. The mother came down and went in woods. This is young following here
Heard some rustling in the bushes and twigs snapping. About 40 metres away we saw a small black bear Climbing up a large Douglas fir. He stopped about 15 metres up the tree. We kept on going down the trail. When we returned about 15 minutes later he was gone.
