I'm out of my league with this one, they bore holes in the earth and look similar to many dung beetles etc but distribution data does not match and carapace is smooth.
A small dung beetle found in dog faeces that is a new one for me. Bush setting with native wildlife inluding maropods, wombats and small mammals. No livestock, but cattle graze a paddock approx 500m away. I expect is may be one of the many native dung beetles.
