Possibly a manzanita tree because of the red bark color. The bark as well as the wood underneath are both red with the bark itself being more of a maroon earth tone and the red underneath being a more beige, almost brown or orange. The tree has few leaves near the tips of the branches which are medium sized and green. The peeling bark is leaving an interesting texture similar to chipped paint that has been left outside for years.
