In trying to figure out the hawthorns better I took all of these Hawthorn pictures the same day May 7th (search my observations for Hawthorns on this date), and all in the same place, the Bike Path in Austintown, Ohio between Kirk Rd and Mahoning Ave.
This was a large Hawthorn that had its leaves fully out and the flowers were fully out with some already wilting. Leaves unlobed to shallowly lobed.
Flower stems were hairy, flowers had @5 stamens.
Fruit added 9/20, pulp was soft and juicy with 3 seeds
