Today in Cuernavaca, I observed another movement of Malachites, similar to (though smaller than) that observed in July of this year (see http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/809764). Between approximately 1pm and 3pm, I saw around 30-40 Malachites flying from east to west or east to southwest. They were flying alone or in groups of up to three individuals. Although there were other butterfly species present, none of them were observed in such high numbers or showed coordinated movement like that seen with the Malachites.
