Update: The crab has since done a moult under my care, I have added some pictures of the moulted limbs that they have not decided to eat.

Occasionally, I head over to the beach and collect gastropod shells inside pools. (Un)fortunately, it seems I may have picked up a shell with someone inside.

This hermit crab looks very much like a Thinstripe, but from what I understand, they only live in the Americas.
There is an observation nearby that was stated as a Thinstripe, but isn't on closer inspection.

It's quite interesting as there is very little chance the shallow dwelling Thinstripe got through the entire Pacific to Malaysia, so should anyone have a better idea on the identity of this guy, that will be awesome.
For now, they have a nice little enclosure until I can bring them back.
