(FA19) Found in a forest, about a meter from a trail. About 1 meter tall. Armored stem with downward curving prickles and lacking noticeable hairs. Leaves pinnately trifoliately compound with serrate margins and pinnate venation.

(FA18) Found growing out of water between a bog and a forest. Inflorescence looks like a two parted fruit, with a large, brown, cylindrical/corn-dog shaped bottom, and a small, skinny white tip. Green and brown stems and leaves. Leaves are very long, narrow, and with parallel venation. Leaf base appears to be sheathing.

(FA17) Found in a forest as a medium sized shrub. No noticeable armor or hairs. Leaves are large, simple with entire margins, petiolate, pinnate venation, arranged alternately. Fruits are found solitary at a node, either red or black in color, and appears to be a drupe when crushed.

(FA16) Found in a forest. Leaves are green to red, palmately 5 lobed, with slightly toothed margins around the whole perimeter, palmate venation, and with long, red petioles. Tough, globose shaped fruit of loculicidal capsules.

(FA15) Found in a forest as a large shrub. Leaves appeared waxy, are simple, and oblanceolate shaped. Pinnate venation and entire margins, but the tips of some leaves are slightly toothed. Fruit arranged along large stem in groups of 1-3. Fruit is blueish-gray in color and appears to be a drupe when crushed.

(FA14) Found in a pine forest as a small herbaceous plant. No notable odor. Leaves simple with parallel venation. Inflorescence is an umbel with only a few flowers. Flowers have 6 sepals, 6 white petals, 6 erect stamen with yellow anthers, and a superior ovary.

(FA13) Found in a forest as an herbaceous plant. Tall, discoid inflorescences with an involucre of bracts, arranged in a corymb. Discoid inflorescence contains numerous, small, pale violet or pale blue in color, 5-merous flowers with long styles. 5 Corollas arranged in a tubular shape. Leaves are closer to ground and are absent towards top of stem. Leaves simple with slightly toothed/dentate margins, arranged opposite (one leaf missing in picture, but petiole is present).

(FA12) Found as a woody vine in a pine forest. Leaves appear to be simple with entire margins, arranged alternately and with palmate venation. Leaves also have short petioles and are cordately shaped. Tendrils are thick and individual tendrils are both straight at some points and spiral at others. Lacks prickles or other armor, possesses single-seeded red-orange berries arranged in groups coming from a single branched node.

(FA11) Found in a forest. Plant is a small herb with laticifers containing milky latex. Few leaves present on the plant. Leaves are entirely green with narrowly-elliptic shape, simple, entire margin, and arranged alternately. Cyathium inflorescence clearly present.

(FA10) Found in a pine forest as an herbaceous plant. Leaves ovately shaped, simple with slightly toothed margins. Flowers are spaced evenly along inflorescence axis and are zygomorphic. Sepals are triangular at the base, several millimeters long, and are skinny. Corolla is violet in color with a white patch near the middle.
