Hannah Grewal Plants around Montreal Observations

The Peonia Lactiflora, otherwise known as the white peony, is a perennial herb species. This herb was introduced in Europe then brought to England in the 18th century. This beautiful herb can also have multiple colour ranges. The topic of our project is “Plants around Montreal,” and when looking for different plants, and my group members identified them in similar areas. Based on where I found my plants, their root structure is one adaptation that they all have in common. These plants have had to adapt to growing in Montreal, where the weather is quite humid, the plants have figured out how to survive. Compared to all of the plants I observed, the Pale Jewelweed is the biggest. This weed can grow up to 2 meters in length.
