The Mission of the Cable Natural History Museum is: Connecting people to Northwoods nature through educational experiences that inspire wonder, discovery and responsibility. The purpose of the Cable Natural History Museum Northwoods Phenology Project is to record wildlife and vegetation observations in our nearby communities (Cable, Drummond, Hayward, Namakagon, Clam Lake, Grand View, and Barnes) and to contribute to citizen science in the Northwoods and beyond. Your submissions will help us better understand the presence, phenology (responses of plants and animals to changes in seasonal and climate factors) and long-term trends of the wildlife and vegetation species in our area.
