Barn Owl Diet (SCC)
We monitored the diet of barn owls at Ed Levin County Park from July through September 2023. Here are the results:
Also, surprisingly, several wild oat (Avena) florets were found inside 6 pellets. Puzzling!

This project is a collection of photos showing the prey evidence (bones, insect parts, plant material) found in barn owl pellets in Santa Clara County (SCC), CA. In some cases, the bones of more than one species can be found in a single pellet.
