The mission of the Margate Terrapin Rescue Project is to protect local Diamondback Terrapins (Malaclemys terrapin) through the installation of roadside barriers, daily patrols and education outreach.

By collecting data from our daily road patrols, we are able to accurately assess the effectiveness of the roadside barriers and focus our barrier installation efforts where needed.

By having community volunteers involved with the data collection, we are able to spread conservation awareness and hopefully reduce the number of terrapin road fatalities. menos ↑
