Big adult female with captured feral pigeon. It appeared carrying a pigeon after the alarm of starlings and the alarm of a Psittacula krameri, and devoured the pigeon at the top of the tree, almost unnoticeable for anyone passing below on the public path. Falling feathers were little noticeable. Some wood pigeons were present and acted normally.
This site is most often frequented by goshawks (mostly males) for rest and sometimes hunting, and female sparrowhawks for hunting.
Authorship of the 4th photo is by Dr. Vasco Trancoso, who was passing by while I was trying to get good images, and made himself available to take them for me with better equipment.

In addition to the green color, sometimes dominant, which I have never confirmed in continental populations (however, the island (in the past) concentrates more predators in search of prey in the green vegetation), other differences are subtle and without acoustic analysis the song seems identical. It looks like a narrower and peculiar local form of O. pellucens, as well as happens in other local species such as Calliptamus barbarus (as "nano" form).
