In afternoon shade. As I walked I bumped a small annual plant and saw this "leaf" drop from the top of it. It was apparently playing dead. I poked at it a little and it seemed to move its legs slightly, but it never stopped playing dead. Photo credit: NPS / Paul G. Johnson.
