Three foot patch of empty bean pods that are dry and tan colored. Stalks are about 1.5 feet in length. Bean pods start on upper half of stalk. Bean pods seen in patches every few feet along dry creek bed.

Description

Seems to be an oak gall, however, I am definitely unsure. It was found under an oak tree. Is kind of in the shape of a mushroom and is a clay brown color. There is lichen growing out of the bottom . Is a little over one inch in length. This mysterious item was found on the ground under an oak tree.

This beetle is just hanging out on a little milkweed plant. Beetle is possibly sucking nectar or just eating the plant itself. Beetle is about half an inch and is a mixture of blue, turquoise, and purple.
