Zygophyllum fuscatum
This is a Zygophyllum which has quite a narrow distribution which is only coastal and from Hangklip in the west to De Hoop Nature Reserve in the east. Diagnostic features according van to Van Zyl (2000) are "its densely leafy, secund branches, its very short pedicels of 1-2 mm in length and its young stems with a flat ventral side and with its lateral ridges ending in distinct, acute, distal lobes which are unique for the southern African species of Zygophyllum".
