Found this guy crawling in the shallows. Caught it in a kids net at the beach. Saw what we guess was an egg sack and released it after the kids had a good look.

We only found the one. It did seem alive though very lethargic. There were several other large shells but none living.

He or she is huge, at least the size of a quarter. Circular part of the web is approximately 4‘ x 4‘. However because the web is in a clearing the connecting web strings reach out 10-15 feet!! It is quite impressive!
