Bracts do not form a terminal cup. Flowers pendulous, in lax, few flowered clusters at the tip of the branches. Calices not inflated. Petals yellow, furled, not abruptly spreading.
Stipules small, not leafy. Leaves sessile, crisped, not linear or with linear lobes, toothed but not pinnatisect, green, glabrous, but with felty hairs between the veins below.
