Metacanthus (M) maghrebinus
Activity has already started in this species. The specimens are appearing around the spider webs, where they have passed the winter slumber and developed last season. They appear at the same time that they look like the spiders with which they live and that will serve as a "refuge" and to obtain their food, being a ghoul.
Ya se ha iniciado la actividad en esta especie. Van apareciendo los ejemplares alrededor de las telas de araña, donde han pasado el letargo invernal y se desarrollaron la temporada pasada. Aparecen al mismo tiempo que parecen las arañas con las que conviven y que les servirán de "refugio" y para obtener su alimento, al ser un insecto necrófago.

Metacanthus maghrebinus. Posición de reposos en ivernación, suelen buscar hojas secas cerca de los restos de las telas de araña, en otras ocasiones como es este caso se camuflan en los restos que quedan en las viejas telas de araña (género Holocnemus).
Metacanthus maghrebinus. Rest position in winter, they usually look for dry leaves near the remains of the spider webs, on other occasions as in this case they camouflage themselves in the remains that remain in the old spider webs (Holocnemus genus).

Metacanthus maghrebinus. Sobre hoja de Hedera helix, pero cerca de la tela de la araña Holocnemus pluchei, por la que se mueve y donde se alimenta de restos de insectos muertos.
