Backyard birds

I'll add observations with photos as I'm able, but so far our backyard bird list in Georgetown, TX, is slightly underwhelming. In our first year at the house, we've seen (or heard):

House finch
Blue jay
Common grackle
Mourning dove
White winged dove
Bewick’s wren
Greater roadrunner
Northern cardinal
Northern mockingbird
Eastern screech owl
Chuck will’s widow
Black vulture

Carolina chickadee
House sparrow

Cool! Your list will grow, not to worry. Please write us some of your experiences w/wildlife and tug boating! In the 1960s I worked for Brown & Root to earn my college money and saw amazing fish and drama on our pipe laying barge 25 miles out in the gulf. Too bad I don't have any photos - didn't take my camera, stupid me. One night a good sized Sailfish sailed right up and ran back and forth in front of our worklights one night. She/he was right on the surface and sped along raising her multicolored sail for us. The area abounded with flying fish which the Barracudas stalked all the while so I'm sure that's what she was after.
