Mustela richardsonii
Summary 2
Very similar to the Least Weasel but larger. Just like that species, it has a brown coat with a white belly in summer and an all-white coat in winter. Its tail is longer than that of the Lease Weasel and it has a black tail tip all-year. Also very similar to Long-tailed Wesel. Long-tailed Weasel sometimes has yellow belly fur, which this species never has. If the belly fur is white (or the animal is in its winter coat), this species can be told from Long-tailed Weasel by its shorter tail.

Statewide except the southern quarter of the state.
