Identification of T. dasycarpum in Manitoba 1

  • herb, 50-150 cm tall
  • leaves compound, terminal leaflet almost always 3 lobed, not toothed
  • vertical rhizome (but don't dig it up :))

Where does it grow? 1

This plant is frequently observed. Look for it in open woods, thickets, prairie, shores and clearings in the southern half of the province. It can stand wetter conditions and can better compete with tall neighbours than venulosum.
