Woodpeckers tongues are so long that they could wrap around the back of their skull.

They can hear insects moving behind wood.

These two look really similar but they are actually two different species: the Hairy Woodpecker has a longer beak and is slightly bigger. Their tail is also slightly different.

The males have a red mark on their heads while the females are all black and white.
