They are more pink then purple, or like a light red color.
They have beaks that are specialized for crushing large seeds and nuts.
Their incredible bubbling song sometimes adds elements of other birds' songs.
To seduce a female, the male sings long songs and also executes a courtship dance. He hops around with his tail raised, chest and head puffed, and vibrates his wings.
