Cyanocitta cristata

Blue Jay

2

Nom français: Geai bleu

2

Listen for the way they yell ''sneek! sneek! sneek!'' when a predator like a cat is approaching or if an owl is sitting in a tree.

If you can sneak up close to one, observe their feathers: they have such incredible layers of colors, their wings are epic works of art that are often overlooked.

Just like crows, blue jays are ''nest robbers''- in the spring they eat the eggs of songbirds.
