Description ²

• Flower: Yellow simple shaped, 6 petals, drooping
• Leaves: alternately attached, 6 inches long, 2 inches wide, pointed tips, base is round and completely surrounds main stem, several distinct veins running parallel to main central vein, fine white hairs along veins on underside
• Fruit/Seed: 3-sectioned capsule, inverted pyramid with rounded corners
• Height: 1-2 feet
• Flowering: April - June
• Habitat: moist woods
