Description ²

• Flower: White rounded cluster
• Leaves: 2½ inches long and 1 inch wide, narrowly egg-shaped to elliptic, pointed at tip, serrated edges, finely hairy underside, short stalked, oppositely arranged, leaves strongly aromatic when crushed, square stems
• Fruit/Seed: 4 oval nutlets, each containing a single seed
• Height: 6-24 inches
• Flowering: July - September
• Habitat: thickets, along shores, wet meadows
