Flower: White simple shaped, 4 petals
Leaves: 3 inches long, ¼ inch wide, blunt to pointed tip, stalkless or minutely stalked, often with small leaf clumps (fascicles) in axils, upper surface evenly covered in short curved hairs, lower hairy along midrib and hairless or sparsely hairy on surface, edges toothless and slightly to strongly rolled under
Fruit/Seed: elliptic, brown, 2 mm long, tuft of long white hairs at tip
Height: 4-40 inches
Flowering: July - September
Habitat: marshes, swamps, bogs, fens, wet meadows, floodplains, wet ditches, wet depressions
