Flower: White simple shaped, 5 petals
Leaves: basal, bright green, narrowly spatula-shaped, gradual taper to base, 1/8-1/3 inch wide by ½-1 1/3 inches long, upper surface covered with red sticky tipped glandular hairs
Fruit/Seed: ¼ inch long oblong capsule
Height: 3-10 inches
Flowering: June - August
Habitat: fens, peat bogs, shores, floating mats
Other: State Special Concern status. This is a carnivorous plant that traps and digests insects on its sticky leaves.
