The common sand frog (Tomopterna cryptotis) is a species of frog in the Pyxicephalidae family found in dryer (xeric) regions in subsaharan Africa. However, it is likely a cryptic species complex, and the distribution of the nominal Tomopterna cryptotis is poorly known.
