I am passionate about urban ecology and biogeography. I am interested in fostering land use that supports native wildlife populations while facilitating recreational nature observation. I work for Philadelphia Parks and Recreation as the supervisor of Wissahickon Environmental Center. He is an adjunct instructor of Plant Ecology for Temple University and the co-host of the Urban Wildlife Podcast. Tony has a BS in Horticulture from Temple University and a MS in Biology from St Joseph’s University. I am an avid birder and have performed field research (and led tours) in Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Alaska, Arctic Canada, and throughout the Mid Atlantic. I live with his wife and daughter in Philadelphia where I have planted most of our yard with native plants.
