I am an associate professor of biological sciences and a researcher. I am also correspondent of the MNHN of Paris (Muséum national d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris) and an associate researcher of the Insectarium of Montréal, Québec, Canada. My research activities aim at documenting and understanding the diversity of the Lepidoptera Sphingidae of the world. My main focus is Lepidoptera Sphingidae, (Hawkmoths), with a special interest for their systematics and their evolutionary history. Since years I have been travelling all over the world collecting Sphingidae. I have so far discovered/described about 100 new species of that family, from Africa, Asia, Australia and America. I have also a great interest on the european Noctuioidea.
