I am a field biologist, specializing in vascular plants, with 20 years experience with the flora and ecology of the Southern Blue Ridge Ecoregion. I am humbled by the elegance of the natural world and I'm fascinated by all things related to ecology, evolution, and natural history. I still have many holes in my knowledge and enjoy and appreciate the iNaturalist community for helping to indulge my curiosity. In my day job, I work for MountainTrue, an environmental advocacy organization dedicated to championing clean water, resilient forests, and healthy communities in the Southern Blue Ridge.
